Our team values include communication, service, family, ownership and challenge.
Communication:
We communicate kindly, clearly, and truthfully. We listen attentively and ask questions to make sure we understand.
When we communicate well, our team is strong because we avoid ambiguity and resolve conflicts well. Clients feel cared for because they understand how we made design decisions, where we are in the process, and what steps we will take to resolve conflicts.
Service:
We look for opportunities to serve each other and our Clients with selflessness. When we see those opportunities, we joyfully and willingly serve.
When we serve well, our team takes advantage of our strengths and nobody feels abandoned. Clients can trust us to put aside our own interests in design, personality, or convenience
to make their project successful.
Family:
We work hard together and play hard together. We know each other’s families and value family bonds above project deadlines.
When we treat one another as family, we are safe to have fun, have disagreements, or have a hard day. The security of knowing we are part of the family means we don’t have to question our own value or question others’ value.
Ownership:
We take ownership of our roles in the Thetford Architecture team, in each project, and in each conflict. Like an army fighting back-to- back, our team trusts each other to take responsibility so the whole team is stronger.
We protect each other by owning our responsibilities and mistakes, and we don’t blame others because we trust them to own their responsibilities. Our Clients can trust us because of our willingness to take responsibility.
Challenge:
We embrace challenges and push ourselves to grow both personally and professionally. We are solving problems for people they
can’t solve, so we expect to “solve” the impossible through creativity, ingenuity, and lots of time thinking and critiquing ideas.
When we respond well to challenges, we don’t give up on each other or our Clients. We can trust each other and our Clients can trust us to stay engaged and figure out a solution even if it isn’t easy.
